Ryan Bernal driving for Josh Ford Motorsports takes 2nd
in Hanford.
USAC WC 360 SPRINT CAR – June 8, 2013 – Kings Speedway – Hanford,
CA
With a short break in the schedule, Ryan Bernal of
Hollister, CA piloting the JFM #73 sponsored by King Racing Products, A&A
Precision CNC Machine and Berry Pack put it all out there on the track last
night. Going into Saturday’s race, Bernal held on to a thirty point advantage
over the Richard Vander Weerd and the rest of the talented competition in the USAC
West Coast Sprint Series Points.
With the late 7:30 start to help ‘beat the heat’, Bernal
began the evening qualifying 4th out of a field of 23 with a time of
16.045. This put Ryan starting 5th in the 10 lap first heat, where
he took 2nd. In the 6 lap dash Ryan, starting 3rd
finished third and so started in the inside of the second row for the main.
For the 30 lap Main Bernal, starting 3rd, claimed
a second place finish.
